The Gold Coast Regional Beekeepers will be holding two stalls to promote the importance of bees. The first stall will be held in Bunnings Nerang on World Bee Day, Friday May 20, and the second will be at the Home Off The Arts (HOTA) Farmers Market on Sunday May 22, 2022, here on the Gold Coast. The stalls will be manned by club members and we will have information available on the importance of bees to the planet, as well as honey, bee badges, "No Food, No Bees" lanyards and bee masks to sell to the public. One of our members is hoping to be able to have a display hive available at both venues so that visitors can see the bees working on a frame of brood and find the queen. This was very popular for our World Bee Day stalls last year and created lots of interest among the children and adults who visited the stall. There will also be free honey tasting, and all going well we plan to have a native bee display hive at each event.
